“My dream of a Marathon has become a reality.”

I was out of shape. Bending down to tie my shoes left me gasping for air. Things went from bad to worse after my nephew’s death, Sgt. John Kyle Daggett. I became a fixture on the couch for nine months. My body hurt sitting watching TV. My pants were screaming for relief, it was time to go up in size from a 36 to a 38.

I was 55 and had never seen the inside of a gym and the thought of exercising was intimidating.

I talked my wife Barbara and son Colman into joining with me. I hit the jack pot when this gym! Coleman and I went for work out evaluation and were connected with our Trainer. As we left another trainer told us good bye and called us by name. I was hooked!

It wasn’t long before I tried the Fitness Challenge and the work outs got harder. My food logs made me aware of what I was eating. In 8 weeks I lost 11 pounds. Now I have gone from 216lbs to 177lbs and will soon need to set a new goal, maybe 165lbs.

I had a dream of running a marathon in Kyle’s honor. Because of Saturday seminars, boot camps, ab classes, running and personal training sessions my dream of a Marathon has become a reality.

Thank you to the trainers for keeping me focused and all the people that have lifted my spirit with a high five, or a good morning. See you at the finish line.
